Mystique template with GIMP
Some weeks ago I have been asked if it is possible to make sophisticated website layouts with GIMP (free graphic programm). Normally I use Adobe Photoshop, but it is not really affordable for personal use. So I have tryed to create an unusual, mystique :) website layout to see how good the free alternative to Photoshop is.
See the mystique template made with GIMP. This will be the outcome of the tutorial. I also assume that you have some working basic knowledge, so that I will not explain what layers and toolbox are.
Step 1
Create a new Image (File → New) and fill the background with #2f160e. Save the file as template.xcf.
Step 2
Create a new layer and name it background2.
