Integrate FrontEndUsers

Install the FrontEndUsers module from the Module Manager the same way you installed iCMSUser.

After installation create new user group in FrontEndUsers module for new users will be assigned. Go to "Users & Groups" and choose "Front End User Management". We have to define at least one user property to be able to create a user group. So choose User Properties tab, press "Add Property" and create a field which will contain email our registered user:

After the property is created you can add new user group in the Groups tab of FrontEndUsers module. Assign Email field as required to the group.

Now you can see the new group in the list. Look in to the first column (ID) of user group created. We need this ID in iCMSUser module to define the group for new users.

Next you have to change some properties in FrontEndUsers module to make login and registration system smooth. Go to admin panel of FrontEndUsers, choose Preferences tab and adjust these 4 values:

You are ready to integrate the module. Go to the admin panel of iCMSUser module and choose "Manage Applications". Provide the required information (ID) in user group field and activate the integration.

Now register again on your site. After activation (if not disabled) the new user will be created in FrontEndUsers module. Log in with this user and change mail address. It has to be changed in FrontEndUsers module as well.

Admin user is however does not yet exist in FrontEndUsers. But you can synchronize any user in all activated applications. Go to iCMSUser panel and choose "Manage users". Click on blue icon with question mark at end of the line in the user list. The comparison table for all user accounts is presented. Click on "Synchronize User" and the user will be added/updated in all connected applications. Try to login with admin user as well. It should work now.
