Quick Start with CMS Made Simple
You do not have time to read long explanations and would like to try it right now? The simpliest and quickiest start is play with demo installation. The demo is deleted and reinstalled every 2 hours:

If you want to give CMS Made Simple a try on free web hosting and play around with own installation in quater of an hour, follow steps listed below or read an instruction on how to setup CMS Made Simple on your own web hosting.

Register with free web hosting on cmsmshosting.co.cc. After registration you will get an account activation e-mail with all required access data. You will need to activate your account and confirm your email address by simply clicking on the link in the e-mail. Immediately after activation you see an overview of all required access data for your account. Print the page or download a copy of account information.

Download last version of CMS Made Simple.

In Windows open file window and type in ftp://ftp.cmsmshosting.co.cc into the address bar. Give FTP username and FTP password from the access data overview (step 1)

You can also use any other FTP program if you like. If login is not possible, check your access data. If the access data entered is definitely correct, you have to wait. All free web hostings have availability issues. That is the price for no costs!

Click on folder htdocs, delete index.htm and copy the setup file (from step 2) into this folder.

Open control panel for your free web hosting account and give Control panel user name and Control panel password from the access data overview (step 1).

Create new database. In the control panel choose "MySQL databases"

Type in database name in the field "Make a new database" and press "Create Database".

On the next page notice the name of created database.

In control panel click on "Home" in the top navigation and open File Manager.

Click on folder htdocs and select the check box in front of cmsmadesimple-1.6-full.tar.gz file. Click on "Unzip" at the top of file list.

On the next page click on the green tick to confirm.

Wait until the file is extracted. At the top of the list of created files click on the blue arrow to return to file manager.

Create a new empty file config.php. On the top of the file list click on "New file". In the next window write down the name of the file. Click on the disk icon first to save and then on blue arrow to return to the file list.

Point your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com (your domain is on the access data overview (step 1) and go through the installation steps. Use access data for database from step 1 and step 6.
